In 2026, FAÍCC will take place from February 2 to July 31*, in Porto, with a total of 700 hours of intensive training.
The application process is divided into three independent phases, allowing each candidate to choose the most convenient time to apply. The opening of the competition for the 2nd and 3rd phases depends on the number of vacancies remaining from the previous phase.
Applicants with Portuguese nationality or tax residence in Portugal for more than two years are eligible to apply for a GDA Foundation scholarship (30% discount).
* The dates for FAÍCC 2026 have been updated in order to optimize the training calendar and integrate new trainers.
Audition Periods
The application process is divided into three independent audition phases. These phases are not cumulative – each candidate applies only once, in the phase that suits them best, and is not expected to participate in the following phases.
Early Bird (closed)
Auditions: until July 31
Results: by August 15
1st phase (closed)
Auditions: August 1–31
Results: by September 15
2nd phase (closed)
Auditions: October 1–31
Results: by November 10
3rd phase (closed)
Auditions: November 15 – December 15
Results: by December 31
4th phase
Auditions: December 20 – January 20
Applications are evaluated on a rolling basis.
Fees and Discounts
Full tuition (no discount): €2,260
Registration fee (mandatory and non-refundable): €180 (not included in the discounts)
To secure the discount for the respective phase, the registration fee must be paid within one month after the end of the phase in which you apply.
Discounts
2nd, 3rd & 4th phases
With GDA scholarship (30%): €1,582
Without scholarship: €2,260 (base rate, no discount)
Applicants with Portuguese nationality or tax residence in Portugal for more than two years are eligible for the GDA Foundation scholarship. The scholarship does not cover the registration fee.
Payment in four instalments
Available in all phases, with an additional cost of €100 in total compared to the full payment option.
FAÍCC 2026 Grants
Within the framework of FAÍCC 2026, Instável provides additional support grants aimed at supporting students’ participation in the course:
2 Accommodation Grants, amounting to €700 each
4 Production Grants, amounting to €200 each
These grants are intended for candidates who submit their application to FAÍCC by January 10.
Grant allocation depends on the participants’ availability to provide production support (in the case of the Production Grant) and on the need for accommodation (in the case of the Accommodation Grant).
Instável reserves the right not to allocate all available grants.
These grants are cumulative with the GDA Foundation Grant.
